06 Jun 2022 The State Steering Committee (SSC) meeting of the Green-Ag Project, Odisha was held under the Chairmanship of Sri Sanjeev Chopra, Agriculture Production Commissioner –cum- ACS, Odisha at 11.00 AM on 6th June 2022 at Krushi Bhawan, Odisha Total 24 members including Members from different government departments, Officer-In-Charge, FAO Representation in India, National Project Director, NPMU / FAO, Green-Ag Project and State Project Management Unit attended the meeting. At the outset, Director, Soil Conservation and WD cum State Project Nodal Officer, Green-Ag Project, Odisha welcome the Chairman and committee members as well as other participating officials. The meeting proceeded with a detailed presentation of project overview by Dr. Konda Chavva Reddy, Officer-In-Charge, FAO Representation in India. While presenting, he briefly presented the project objectives and the rationale behind the selection of project landscapes. He elaborated on the major threats identified in the project landscapes and the expected impacts from the project interventions. Additionally, he briefed the Chair about the project components, interventions and the institutional architecture of the project. After the presentation the Director, Soil Conservation and Watershed Development cum State Nodal Officer gave a detailed presentation on the project status of Odisha and placed various agenda points for kind approval of the Committee. The committee deliberated on each agenda and approved various agenda items that includes Annual Work Plan & Budget – Year – 4 (2022-23), Procurement plan for year – 4, approval for undertaking different Study and policy dialogues etc.
